Fact Finding Hearing on the personnel of Emergency Response Services
Committee created by City Mayor Ernesto Matugas conducted the Fact Finding Hearing on the personnel of Emergency Response Services regarding the incident of a patient who fell down from the stretcher last July 22, 2017. The committee led by City Legal Officer Atty. Manuelito Manny Delani, City Health Officer Dr. Emmanuel Plandano, CDRRMO Head Engr. Elmer Tecson and City Personnel Officer Gloria Gimena.
Suspended ERS Crew Glenda Brinquez, Filmar Borja and John Patrick Calang narrated the incident from the response of an emergency call until the patient Hennebel Labaclado was transported to Surigao Medical Center.
Atty. Delani said they will finished the investigation for 30 days. The purpose of the hearing is to determine whatever shortcomings the city have in so far as ERS is concerned. Proper recommendations can be made and whatever shortcomings can be addressed by the city government through the Office of the City Mayor and the hpnorable Sangguniang Panlungsod. Admittedly we need more budget in so far as acquiring equipment for our ambulance as well as to equip our ambulance with the necessary life saving devices.
There are other forums where determination of culpability and responsibility that can handle such issue. We have no jurisdiction to determine again the culpability of the persons involve, Delani concluded.
