Regional Priority Target under rehabilitation crack in Surigao City

Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City——— Operatives of Philippine National Police Caraga in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency busted a Regional Priority Target – High Value Individual, yielded more than Php24,000 worth of shabu in Surigao City yesterday, September 5.

POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR, PRO13 Regional Director revealed that Jose Balayao Nasara, 36 years old, married and a resident of Purok 7, Brgy. Sta Cruz, Placer, Surigao del Norte was formerly arrested by Sison Municipal Police Station on December 5, 2013 in Sison, Surigao del Norte.

Nasara was currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Department of Health in Surigao City after his plea bargain deal.

Authorities confiscated during the operation were: Php500 marked money; a cellular phone; and drug items with an estimated weight of 2.0423 grams with DDB value of Php24,100.00.

“The retrieval of these drug items had saved probable victims of substance abuse. Through cooperation of the local populace in the anti-illegal drug campaign and the long arm of the law, we will apprehend those individuals engaged in illegal drug trade,” RD CARAMAT JR said.
